As 2024 comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on what has been a dynamic and rewarding year for HTI Plastics. From groundbreaking partnerships to significant investments in technology, this year has been a testament to our commitment to innovation, customer success, and the incredible people who make up the HTI Plastics family.
ITAR Registration: Elevating Our Capabilities
One of the milestones of 2024 was achieving ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) registration. This certification underscores our dedication to meeting stringent compliance standards and opens new opportunities to serve industries requiring the highest levels of security and precision. ITAR registration is more than a badge—it’s a testament to our ability to deliver products and services at the highest level of integrity and quality.
Partnering for Global Impact
This year, HTI Plastics had the privilege of partnering with the University of North Carolina (UNC) to address cervical cancer treatment in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Through this initiative, we’re contributing to the development of life-saving medical solutions that aim to improve healthcare equity across the globe. It’s partnerships like these that demonstrate our commitment to using innovation for the greater good.
Investing in Technology and Growth
To enhance efficiency and stay on the cutting edge of manufacturing technology, we added two new 180-ton Engel injection molding machines to our lineup. These machines represent our ongoing investment in state-of-the-art technology to better serve our customers’ needs. HTI continues to offer a large number of molding machines in a wide range of tonnage. We have injection molding machines ranging from 30-tons to 1,800 tons.
In addition, we also added in new secondary operations equipment and automation. Due to increased demand, we added an additional hot stamp machine, growing our capacity to produce dosage marked applicators for our existing customers increased demand and to serve new customers now and into the future. HTI also continued to invest in automation, gaining efficiencies and creating value in our products. With our investment in 2024, we were able to automate a product line which enabled us to increase our output and meet our customers increasing demands for that specific product.
Furthermore, we onboarded several new customers and kicked off exciting new product projects with existing clients. These collaborations are a testament to the trust our customers place in us and the quality we consistently deliver.

A New Chapter in Leadership
As we look toward an even better 2025, HTI Plastics begins a new chapter in leadership. After 31 remarkable years as CEO, Sam Featherston has retired, taking on the role of Chairman of the Board. We are thrilled to announce Sheli Carpenter as our new CEO. With nearly three decades of experience at HTI Plastics as CFO, Sheli’s leadership and vision will guide us toward continued excellence and innovation.
