Our parent company PCE, Inc. sold the data center management division of the corporation at the beginning of 2018. The PCE, Inc. headquarters was a part of that sale. Over the course of 2018 plans were made for the construction of a new corporate headquarters. Excitingly enough for the HTI Plastics employees, the plans for the headquarters became an addition to our facility. Along with having everyone at PCE, Inc under the same roof as us, we also will have expanded engineering space, office space, conference rooms and a new training space for HTI Plastics employees.

Automated Material Handling System
The material handling system allows us to be ‘hands off’ with material conveyance. It runs through a manifold system connecting to each mold press. If this was not an option, we would have to park a large box of material on each machine. Each molding press also has an automated mixer to ensure accurate blend ratios and distribution consistency. If this was not an option, we would have to manually weigh out additives, material, and then mix it by hand.

Each month throughout 2019 we will provide a monthly update on the progress of our new corporate headquarter and facility expansion. In December 2018 and January 2019 there was a lot of dirt moved and cold snowy days. Even in the face of snowy weather and extremely cold temperatures the beginnings of the structure are starting to take shape. It is an exciting time at HTI Plastics, as well as our PCE sister divisions, Apex and Lincoln Plastics. We are eager to share more as we continue to grow.
